If your Ladki Bahin Yojana paise nahi aaye this month, you are not alone, and in most cases the reason can be traced. This is a free, privately written help guide, not a government service, so corrections and complaints are handled only through the official portal, the helpline or a government office.
Start with timing. Each month's credit trickles into accounts across several days, and the status box heading this page tells you whether the latest month has actually been sent. If others around you have been paid for that month and you have not, work through the reasons below one at a time.
Ladki Bahin Yojana paise nahi aaye: quick checks first
- Confirm the release. Look at our status panel to see whether money for the month in question has gone out at all.
- Check the right account. The money goes only to the bank account seeded with your Aadhaar, which may not be the account you use most.
- Read the statement, not just SMS. SMS alerts sometimes fail. A passbook entry or app statement is more reliable.
- Look at your record. Our status check guide explains how to see your application and e-KYC position.
If all of these are fine and money is still missing, one of the reasons in the next sections almost certainly applies.
Reason 1: e-KYC was not completed
Under the annual e-KYC rule, both the beneficiary and her husband or father confirm their Aadhaar by OTP, and installments are held back for anyone who skips it. Nothing stopped more payments: roughly 62 lakh women fell off the list solely for an unfinished e-KYC.
What to do: no e-KYC round is running now, so this cannot be fixed today. Keep the mobile on your Aadhaar working, note down your husband's or father's Aadhaar number, and watch for an official reopening. A news report suggests that arrears for verified corrections come in one combined credit, but please confirm this for your case at the helpline. Read about e-KYC for the full rule.
Reason 2: removed during verification
The state's checks removed about 92 lakh names in all. Apart from incomplete e-KYC, the reported grounds were:
| Ground for removal | Approximate number |
|---|---|
| Family income above Rs 2.5 lakh | 16 lakh |
| A family member is a government employee | 4.42 lakh |
| Already drawing the state Niradhar pension | 3.6 lakh |
| More than two beneficiaries in one family | 2.5 lakh |
| Over 65 years of age | 1.8 lakh |
| Flagged in district verification | 1.7 lakh |
| Men wrongly enrolled | 29,000 |
| Women who are government employees themselves | 8,000 |
What to do: if one of these genuinely applies, the stop is final under the rules. If it does not, gather proof (income certificate, ration card, family details) and raise a complaint as described below. The eligibility rules explain each condition.
Reason 3: bank account not ready for DBT
DBT, or Direct Benefit Transfer, can credit only an account that is seeded with Aadhaar on the NPCI system banks use for such payments. Many women completed e-KYC but still got nothing because this link was missing.
What to do: visit the branch where your account is held, carry your Aadhaar and passbook, and ask them to confirm Aadhaar and NPCI seeding for DBT. If you have several accounts, ask which one is mapped. Once the seeding is active, later releases should reach that account.
Reason 4: the government job declaration went wrong
A Marathi question in the e-KYC about government jobs in the household was badly worded. Because of it, more than 24 lakh women were tagged as belonging to a family with a government servant, and roughly 20 lakh of those tags were later shown to be mistakes. Others lost payments after ticking a wrong option elsewhere.
What to do: call 181, which was trained for e-KYC issues, and explain the mistake. You can also show the WCD officer at district level proof that no family member is in government service. Our e-KYC process page shows how the declarations were worded.
Reason 5: you received Rs 500, not Rs 1,500
This is not a stop. When another government scheme already pays a woman something below Rs 1,500, Ladki Bahin tops it up only to that level. About 7.7 lakh Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi beneficiaries get Rs 1,000 a month there, so Ladki Bahin adds Rs 500 to bring them to Rs 1,500. If you get Rs 1,500 or more from another scheme, you are not eligible for this one at all.
How to complain and where to go
- Dial 181. The minister in charge named this women's helpline as the number for complaints about the scheme, including e-KYC trouble and halted money.
- Go to an office. Your local Anganwadi, the tehsil office and the district WCD officer can all take up a case. Bring originals of your papers.
- Ask about Disapproved desks. During verification, district collectorates opened dedicated counters, as did ward offices, for applications shown as Disapproved. Find out whether one still runs near you.
Keep copies of everything you submit and note the date and name of the person you spoke to. The department's postal address and other contact routes are on our helpline page.
Ladki bahin yojana band zali ka
Many women ask whether the scheme has been shut, because their own money stopped. It has not. The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister have said the scheme will not be closed, and the state budget still funds it. The state has also said it will not claw back amounts that went to women who later turned out to be ineligible. What changed is that the list of beneficiaries became much smaller after verification. If your name was removed, the reasons above explain why, and the home page gives the current overall picture.
Questions people ask
What to do when Ladki Bahin Yojana money is not received yet?
First confirm from the status panel that the month has been released, then check the statement of your Aadhaar seeded account. If money is still missing, check your e-KYC and application status, then call 181.
Will I get the missed months later?
One news item says arrears are credited together after a correction clears. No official notice confirms it, so check your own record through 181 or your district's WCD office.
My e-KYC is done but no money came. Why?
The usual cause is that the bank account lacks Aadhaar seeding, so DBT cannot land. Ticking the wrong box on the government job declaration comes next.
Will the government take back money already paid?
No. The stated position is that past payments to ineligible women are not being recovered.
Someone says he can restart my payment for a fee. Should I pay?
Refuse. Nobody can sell a restart of the benefit. Never give money or OTPs to such people, and report them on 181.
